This week I received a phone call from the pediatricians office about Katherine's blood work. You can breathe, there was no bad news other than the lab not running the chromosome test so they needed draw more blood from Katherine. I was really dreading taking her back in for another blood draw. I could only hope the experience would go as good as the last one. The first time I almost passed out from her loud ear piercing shrieks and I think she almost had both of the nurses in tears. The second time she let out one big cry, a few alligator tears, and that was it. This time she whimpered a little and then was fine. I think the girl's inherited my pain gene and thankfully not my fear of needles. She's quite the little fearless trooper. If there's a next time she'll probably be telling them how to do it, lol.
While we were there we had her stand on the scale. The 750 calories in beverages a day must be working. She's up to 20lbs even! I was actually surprised to see that number show up since she had a stomach bug on Sunday and has not been eating that well lately. I think the nurse thought I was crazy for being so excited about her weight. She's up 2lbs 10oz since January 13th. Maybe she'll finally make it back on the growth charts.
